Classic Christmas

Classic Christmas

Sunday :: Worship / Fellowship

Sunday, December 1st

As we step into Advent, we will be taking a look at a Classic Christmas. This morning we are considering the words to the classic carol “Come Thou Long Expected Jesus.” As we look at this carol, our prayer is that we have a fresh and renewed hope for this season of expectation of the long-awaited Christ child, the hope of the world.

Key Verse

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6

Thank you to all who participated in this year’s Operation Christmas Child! 150 boxes were collected and sent off to a Samaritan’s Purse distribution center, and of the 150, 125 were directly collected from our church family! Also, a HUGE thank you to Bernadette Rambow for coordinating the collection site here at BTE, as well as Bill Rambow and Bobette Johnson for also volunteering.

Food Bank Needs

Canned sweet potatoes or yams, evaporated milk, olives, jellied cranberry sauce, pickles (place in the basket in the foyer).
