Distractions

Distractions Part 3

Sunday :: Worship / Fellowship

Sunday, November 11th

Our current sermon series is called Distractions. Life is full of Distractions that can throw us off course. This has always been the case, but Distractions seem to be growing both in number and in their power to steal our focus and throw us off track. This is certainly true when it comes to following God in the everydayness of life. Focus takes time, attention, discipline, and perseverance. God’s Word can help us understand what kinds of Distractions steal our attention. God’s Word also helps us shift our attention back to the things that matter most.

Key Verse

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Matthew 6:33

Operation Christmas Child

The amazing journey of a simple shoebox gift begins with you and results in evangelism, discipleship and multiplication. Samaritan’s Purse is celebrating it’s 25th year of OCC and has touched millions of lives in over 100 countries while bringing joy, fun, and the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to so many who may have not received it any other way.

Our local coordinator, Bernadette Rambow has an amazing display with many resources to help you as you fill your boxes. OCC’s National Collection Week is November 12 through 19, and you can bring your packed boxes to us through that time to be packed and shipped to a distribution center.

For more information you can go to www.samaritanspurse.org and click on Operation Christmas Child. You can also pay for your $9 shipping, print off labels, and receive a ‘Follow Your Box’ tracking label to find out where your box is delivered!
