Why

Waiting on God in a Crisis

Sunday :: Worship / Fellowship

Sunday, May 3rd

It’s often hard to see what God is doing. Where are you, God? What are you doing? Why can’t we see you working? Are you there? Why aren’t you doing something? Our questions often are met with silence. So naturally, we want to design our own plan. We want to get things going in the right direction. Why wait on God, when there are things to be done?

Key Verse

He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.

Hebrews 11:26

Upcoming Worship Services

We are planning our first corporate service on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10th. In the meantime, we are getting the facility ready. This includes disinfecting surfaces, increasing distance between rows and aisles, and preparing the building in other ways.

We will also continue to livestream our services. If you are uncomfortable, or in a high-risk group please feel free to continue to worship with us online. Also, worship with us online if you have recently been sick in any way.

One might ask why we are waiting a few Sundays before taking advantage of worshipping together. Our size of congregation and getting our space ready are a big part of the delay. We are doing everything possible on our end to make returning to corporate worship safe and exciting.

2020 National Day Of Prayer

Thursday, May 7

Sign up to be a part of our 24-hour prayer vigil. You can sign up for a 20-minute block of time starting at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday. You should have received a prayer guide in the mail this week. If not, you can download one at www.bigtimberchurch.com/ndp.

Friday, May 8

We are hosting an online event to follow the National Day of Prayer (NDP). This is a one-hour event, following the NDP on May 8th at 7:00 a.m.

Tony George, a leader in the business and church community of Billings, MT will share a challenging and encouraging message. Hosts will also move us to pray specifically. Grab a cup of coffee, get comfortable at home or in your office. And then join us online at 7:00 am May 8th for an hour of encouragement!

You can register online for our NDP one-hour event. You can also call the church and we can register for you over the phone at 932-5637.

State & National Events

On May 7th, you are also invited to pray outside our state capitol in Helena. Prayer guides will be available at the door, where you will be encouraged to walk around the outside of the building as you pray. This event will be streamed live at 1:00 pm.

Later that day, a 2-hour livestream special event for our nation will be broadcast from 6 to 8:00 pm MST.
Links to both our state and our national events will be available on our website, at bigtimberchurch.com/ndp.
