Communion bread and wine

What is Communion?

Sunday :: Worship / Fellowship

Sunday, September 2nd

What is communion? Communion is a time to remember the sacrifice of the LORD Jesus Christ. On the night that Christ was betrayed, He gave His disciples something to remember them by. The Bible says, “And He took bread, and gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, This is My body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you” (Luke 22:19-20). (Also see: Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 14:22-25.)

Communion is a reminder that Jesus gave life a ransom for whoever believes. It is also a reminder of the relationship that believers have with Christ and with each other.

We will be celebrating communion together at the end of the service today!
