The Big Timber Evangelical Church traces its beginning back to March 22, 1922, when a small group of Christians decided to plant a new church body in Big Timber. They soon purchased a small piece of property on the corner of 3rd and Bramble Street and began laying the foundation for a facility to house the church. The first service was held in the finished basement in 1925. The current Fellowship Hall and basement are the original sanctuary. A foyer addition was added to the original building in 1999, and construction of the new building began in 2008 and was finished in 2009.
