Christians Should: Three Things Christians Should Be

Christians Should: Part 2

Sunday :: Worship / Fellowship

Sunday, August 23rd

This week’s sermon is about why all Christians should be theologians. A theologian is not necessarily someone who has multiple degrees and has written plenty of books. A theologian is simply someone who studies the Word of God! Why you should be one will be broken down into three tangible points that will help you guard against false teaching, understand that Scripture is sufficient for life and godliness, and to help you know God and His will for your life.

Key Verse

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

Deuteronomy 6:5

Operation Christmas Child

Right now is a great time to purchase many of the items that make perfect gifts! School supplies and other child-orientated items are discounted as our children prepare to go back to school. For how and what to pack, along with suggestions and label options, go to samaritanspurse.org. Under the “What We Do” drop-down menu you will find OCC. Our church is a designated drop-off location, and we have shoeboxes year-round that you can pick up and begin filling. OCC National Collection Week is November 16-23.

Another great option to share God’s love is to build a shoebox online. It’s a convenient and personal way to give shoebox gifts directly from home. You make it your own by choosing from a list of gifts, then adding a letter and a photo. They’ll pack it for you and send it off!

Giving

We are a giving church body, and we are so thankful for your faithful giving! We have two offering baskets. One located in the back of the sanctuary, and one between the doors inside of the sanctuary.
